FAQs

Can I switch a tournament to a league?

Yes! You can find the button to switch between league and tournament mode by clicking the little arrow next to the Copy Season button.

Note that this might require some other tweaks (e.g. max games per day or minimum time between games to make sure any team's games aren't bunched together).

The system will automatically switch you back to the correct mode once you click publish schedule.

How can I mark a schedule completed?

Schedules will automatically drop off your current schedules and move into your past schedules once the end date has passed. In tournaments you set the end date under settings. For leagues, the end date is calculated based on your number of weeks or based on your final game on the schedule (typically the day after).

How do I tell which team is Home and which is Away?

If you see a V between teams, the left one is the home team. If you see an @ between the teams, the right one is the home team. (This is customizable – as an admin – via standings configuration.)

Venue has the correct address, but shows in the wrong location on the map

On the venues page (in the left navigation bar) or manage venues (on schedule maker) click the map pin to edit the venue, then scroll down to the map and search for the location with the search bar on that map. you can also drag the pin to further adjust if needed.

How can I change my league schedule to say week instead of round?

Click the Dates button on the Schedule Maker Lite page and select either Weeks or Rounds and click Confirm:

How can I change the weeks on the schedule to actual days?

When you first generate your schedule (LITE), it will have scheduling disabled. To add actual dates, you will need to enable scheduling and add venues and time slots.

See Getting Started with LITE for more detailed instructions.

How can I remove dates and times from my schedule?

If you're in LITE and you've enabled scheduling, you can disable scheduling again to remove dates and times. The button for this is under Settings on the Schedule Maker LITE page:

disable scheduling button in LITE settings

If you're using PRO, you will need to either erase games and then click the create games button instead of the generate schedule button. This will create just the games without running the allocation (assignment of dates and times).

What does Odd Pairings mean?

You may see an odd pairings button at the top of your schedule. If you activate it, you'll see any pairings that happen more or less often than average highlighted with a number on the schedule that indicates how often those teams meet.

For instance, if most of your teams play each other 2x but some play each other 3x you'll see it on your schedule like so:

All of this is only visible to admins in order to help you identify any potential issues with your schedule.

How do I log out?

Click your profile picture/icon in the top right corner and select log out.

Load Full Schedule

You can load the whole schedule, instead of just one week or day, by clicking the Load full schedule button at the bottom of the schedule:

As an admin, you can also use the button at the top of your schedule:

Note that schedule slicing is only available for larger schedules (over 100 games).

Turn off schedule slicing

You can turn off slicing and show the full schedule by default by deactivating the auto-slicing switch under Settings on the schedule maker page.
