Troubleshooting

Score inputs not showing

Click ENTER SCORES at the bottom right to show score input boxes on the schedule.

Also make sure you're signed in and using the right account – only admins and scorekeepers / referees (and captains/coaches if allowed by the admin) can see the enter scores button.

It's not letting me drag and drop

If you're seeing score boxes, drag and drop is likely disabled for those games. Cancel out of score entry mode or submit scores at the bottom right of your screen and try again.

Clicking a button / icon doesn't do anything

If nothing happens when you click a button or icon, try refreshing the page (with your browser's refresh button).

If the issue persists, it might also be a caching issue. Try clearing your browser cache for the page. While on the page:

  • Windows and Linux browsers: CTRL + F5

  • Apple Safari: SHIFT + Reload toolbar button

  • Chrome and Firefox for Mac: CMD + SHIFT + R

If that doesn't solve it let us know.

Standings not showing

Standings can be hidden by

  • selecting hide standings for your standings configuration

  • removing divisions from your season (checkbox under manage divisions)

  • setting number of games for divisions to 0 (under divisions on the schedule maker)

If your standings aren't showing, you probably have one of these situations. If you can't locate the issue, let us know and we'll take a look.

Schedule loads slowly

The larger your schedule, the slower it'll load.

If you have a large number of unused time slots, that will weigh down your load time.

You can see your number of unused time slots at the top of your schedule, along with a trash icon to delete them. You'll probably find that your schedule loads faster without a lot of unused time slots.

Why is the loser moving on in the bracket / playoff?

This can happen if you manually modify playoff / bracket games rather than letting teams be filled in by the proper system functions. In particular, if you changed which team is home and which is away, this will lead to the wrong team advancing in the bracket.

To fix, you can typically just revert the change in home/away and update the score accordingly. If not, you might need to regenerate the bracket.

Why did a red box come up that says "You do not have permission to view this page"?

  1. Either you're not logged in or logged in with a different email/account that does not have admin access to the page you're trying to view.

  2. The schedule you're trying to view has been made private by the admin. Check back later.

  3. If you're the admin and hearing this from participants, make sure your schedule is published.

Not receiving verification email?

You'll want to look for an email from app@mail.leaguelobster.com. You can try adding that address to your address book and requesting a new verification key by going to the login page, entering and submitting your login info, and then clicking request new key.

Can you resend my verification email?

You can request a new verification email by going to the login page, entering and submitting your login info, and then clicking request new key.

Calendar Feed is showing wrong times

It's normal for calendar feeds to be out of sync occasionally. This is because there is caching on both your calendar service's server as well as ours.

Some calendar apps let you select a sync frequency (the calendar app on Macs does, for instance, but Google Calendar does not) – try googling your calendar app's name + change calendar feed sync frequency to see if and how you can adjust this. Since there is also caching on our server, you may still need to wait a bit for fresh data to be fetched.

As a rule of thumb, give it about 24 hours and things should straighten out on their own.

My site appears to be offline

Our custom domain feature requires an active PRO subscription. If your subscription lapses, we will show a message on your site to let you know that the site is temporarily offline until you reactivate your subscription. Check your account settings page to make sure your subscription is still active (or to resubscribe).

I upgraded to the PRO version but it only worked on one of my schedules

Each schedule can be either in LITE or PRO – this is not an account-wide switch. When you upgrade one schedule to PRO, it only does it for that one schedule. You'll need to repeat the upgrade process for each schedule. This allows you to keep working with LITE for simpler schedules and use the more complex PRO version only where needed.

Note however, that only one subscription is required to publish all your schedules, so having one PRO schedule will require upgrading your subscription to PRO. Unfortunately, this will also count your LITE schedules for the number of teams billed (see pricing).

Playoff teams didn't get filled in properly

If your bracket didn't update properly (e.g. wrong order of teams; dummy teams showing in bracket) you can try clicking reset bracket and then fill in teams.

Here's where to find the reset button, which gets replaced with fill in teams after clicking:

If that doesn't work, our team may have to take a look. If you're in a time crunch, regenerating the bracket should do the trick (the little green arrow in the screenshot above) but this might change the times on your games (for that bracket only), so we recommend taking a screenshot first so you can re-create what you had.

No games generated for a division or schedule

A schedule / division may not generate if it is configure for too few games. You need at least one game to happen in the division / schedule per week or it won't generate. For instance, if you have 2 teams and 5 weeks, you need at least 5 games in your settings. If you have 4 teams and 6 weeks, you need at least 3 games. This gets easier with more teams as each round (i.e. number of games in settings) creates more games (1 round with 10 teams equals 5 games, whereas 1 round with 2 teams is just 1 game).

Missing time slots

If you're not seeing all time slots on your schedule, you may just need to make them visible by clicking either the free slots button or the eye icon in the note at the top of your schedule showing the number of unused slots.
